CSI Capital is an independent China-focused private equity fund, led by senior China investment professionals and sponsored by CITIC Securities International Co. Ltd. (“CSI”), the international arm of CITIC Securities, China’s largest investment bank, which serves as CSI Capital’s deal sourcing and execution partner, providing onshore and offshore resources. CSI Capital is co-headed by Mr. Donald Tang, previously the founder, Chairman and CEO of Bear Stearns International Holdings as well as Chairman of Bear Stearns Asia, with over 20 years of China deal making experience and business connections, and Mr. Yin Ke, CEO of CITIC Securities International Company Limited. Both of the Fund’s co-heads have an extensive network, and each has served as advisor to many of China’s most influential and renowned companies. The Fund’s execution team is led by Mr. Ray Zhang (GSB Graduate), a seasoned investor with over 10 years of experience in private equity investing in China on behalf of Merrill Lynch’s Principal Credit Group and Goldman Sachs’s Special Situations Group. These three officers represent over 60 years of China deal-making, strategic advisory and direct investment experience, and all three will be actively involved in the Fund’s investment decision-making as members of the Fund’s investment committee, as well as spending a significant amount of their time sourcing deals from their extensive networks.
